Cookies & website privacy
Updated 19 October 2026
This notice covers your use of the BatteryReport.ie website, enquiries sent through it and our optional advertising measurement. BatteryReport.ie is operated by Belgard Sales Limited, Skerries, Co. Dublin. For questions about your information or cookie choices, email hello@batteryreport.ie or call Eoghan on 087 132 4596.
Your choice comes first
Google Ads measurement is off until you choose Accept measurement. Choosing Reject optional keeps it off. Both choices let you use the whole website and contact us. We do not load the Google Ads tag on a fresh visit before you accept, or when your saved choice is to reject.
Use Cookie settings below or in the website footer to change your mind. If you withdraw permission, measurement stops and the page refreshes. Our code removes the advertising cookies it can access on this website. Withdrawal does not erase information already sent to Google.
What optional measurement does
After you accept, we use Google's tag to help connect an advertising visit with a click on a telephone link. A phone-button click is an indication of interest; it does not confirm that a call connected or a booking was made.
Measurement can send Google the page address, advertising click identifiers, cookie identifiers, browser/device information and IP address. We do not send booking details, vehicle registration numbers, names, email addresses or your telephone number through this tag. Ad personalisation and Google Analytics are not enabled by this implementation.
Storage on your device
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Our cookie-choice preference | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected, using local storage on this browser. It does not track you. | 180 days; you can change it sooner. |
Google Ads cookies, such as _gcl_aw | Optional advertising attribution, after acceptance. | Typically up to 90 days. Your browser may remove them earlier. |
Your choice is specific to this browser and website address. If you clear your browser storage, use another browser or visit a different domain, you may be asked again.
Google and other website services
Google processes measurement information under its applicable terms and privacy policies. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Read how Google uses information from sites using its services and Google's privacy policy for its processing, retention and transfer safeguards.
Our website host receives the technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address and requested page. The homepage also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves sending technical request information to Google; those font requests are separate from optional Ads measurement. See Google Fonts privacy information.
Your information and your rights
Optional advertising measurement relies on your consent. You can withdraw it using Cookie settings. You can also contact us to ask about access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or other applicable data-protection rights. If you have a concern about our handling of your information, you can contact Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
When you use our enquiry form, call, email or message us, we use the contact details, vehicle information and inspection location you provide to respond to your battery-check enquiry and arrange an appointment. Please provide only information needed for your enquiry.
Our form uses Google Apps Script. The details you submit are saved in a private Google Sheet and sent in full to our business email inbox at hello@batteryreport.ie so we can respond. Google processes this information under its applicable terms and privacy policy. Processing can take place outside the European Economic Area.
Enquiry handling is separate from optional Google Ads measurement. We do not send form answers to Google Ads. Our WhatsApp links open WhatsApp so you can choose whether to send a message. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@batteryreport.ie.
